Miriam Lane

June 23, 1948 — March 28, 2012

Miriam Reindollar Lane, 63, of Libertytown, MD, died peacefully at her home on Wednesday, March 28, 2012. Born June 23, 1948 in Gettysburg, PA, she was the daughter of Priscilla “Dean” Hess Reindollar and the late Henry I. Reindollar. She was the wife of James Everett Lane.

Miriam was a physical therapist and worked at Penmar Rehabilitation in Hanover, PA for many years. She was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Taneytown. She had a passion for helping others, and found fulfillment in serving through Mission of Mercy. She enjoyed reading, collecting Longaberger baskets, working with her church family at Trinity, and spending time with her husband, friends and pet bichons, Kuba & Cody.

Surviving in addition to her husband and mother are son, Andrew Palmer and wife, Amy, of Winter Haven, FL; daughter, Whitney Palmer of Manassas, VA; step-children, Jennifer Miklautsch and husband, Robert, of Greenwich, CN, Natalie Bunce and husband, Steve, of Chico, CA, and Jasen Lane of Luray, VA; sister, Joan Linkswiler and husband, Ron, of Salisbury, MD; brothers, Richard Reindollar and wife, Ann, of Quechee, VT, Robert Reindollar and wife, Sherl, of Salisbury, NC, and Paul Reindollar and friend, Rosemary, of San Diego, CA; aunt & uncle, Myra Ann & Lamar Hilterbrick of Ellicott City, and aunt, Catherine Meuller of Salisbury, NC; granddaughter, Ali Palmer; step-grandchildren, Olivia Lane, and Ryan, Ethan & Maggie Miklautsch; as well as several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends 2-5 p.m. Saturday, March 31 at Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 136 E. Baltimore St., Taneytown, MD. A celebration of Miriam’s life will be held at 4 p.m. Monday, April 2, 2012 at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 38 W. Baltimore St., Taneytown, with Pastor Matt Fuhrman of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Rosedale and Chaplain Ngyele Pothin of Frederick Hospice officiating.
