Miriam Gilmer Holmes, age 91, of Westminster, died peacefully on Tuesday, May 14, 2013 at Union Hospital in Elkton, Maryland.
Born December 7, 1921 in Hampton, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late William E. Churn and Emma M. (Russell) Churn. She was predeceased by her husband LeRoy Holmes in 2009.
She attended Church of the Open Door in Westminster.
Surviving are special niece and caregiver, Nancy Holmes of Elkton, and many nieces and nephews.
She was the last of her immediate family being predeceased by 10 siblings.
Graveside services and interment will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, May 17, 2013 in the Mausoleum Chapel at Evergreen Memorial Gardens, 2800 Old Westminster Pike, Finksburg, Maryland with Pastor John Campbell officiating.
Arrangements are by the Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home in Westminster.
