Mildred M. Stine, age 91, of Taneytown, Maryland, died peacefully on Wednesday evening, July 8, 2009 in Taneytown.
Born April 10, 1918 in Taneytown, Maryland, she continued to live in the home of her birth until the present. She was the daughter of the late Byron S. and Rosella (Hess) Stull. She was predeceased by her husband, Gilbert A. Stine in 1997.
Mildred was a 1935 graduate of Taneytown High School. She worked beside her husband for many years on the family dairy farm, was a homemaker, antique collector, and maintained antique booths at local antique malls. Mildred was known for her public speaking and humorous monologs. She was a life member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Taneytown, the Taneytown Heritage Committee, Taneytown Republican Women’s Club, and the Keysville-Detour Homemakers Club.
Surviving are daughters, Nancy S. Eyler and husband Roger E. of Keymar, MD, Roxann S. Morales and husband John J. of St. Leonard, MD; grandchildren, Vincent Cassell and wife Kyle, Ted Eyler and wife Jennifer, Genevieve Eyler and husband Ben Priebe, Suzanne Williams and husband John, and Juan J. Morales; great-grandchildren, Hannah Cassell, Roger, Claire, and Oliver Priebe, and Catherine Eyler; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by a sister, Kathryn U. Stine.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, on Monday, July 13, 2009 at the Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 136 E. Baltimore St., Taneytown, with interim pastor the Rev. Charles Frederick and her nephew, Elder Donald Stine co-officiating. Interment will follow in the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in Taneytown. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 2-4 and 6-9 PM at the funeral home.
