Michele Annette Bowers, age 45 of Westminster died Monday, January 10, 2011 at her home. She was born October 2, 1965 in Westminster, the daughter of Gordon Jr. and Linda Shamer Mayer of Westminster. She was a 1983 graduate of Westminster High School. Michele worked as a trimmer at English American for 10 years and with the City of Westminster Recreation Council as a child care provider and cleaner. She was very interested in her children’s sports events and was their #1 fan.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by sons, Matthew D. Bowers, Jr. and Michael A. Bowers both of Westminster; sister, Laura Kittle of Hanover, PA and brother, Gordon R. Mayer of Westminster, special friend (cousin), Kelly Janes and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held Saturday, 10:30 A.M. at Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 91 Willis Street, Westminster with Rev. Frank Warner officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Gardens, Finksburg.
The family will receive friends Friday 2:00 to 4:00 pm and 6:00 to 8:00 pm and Saturday 10:00 am until time of the service at the funeral home
