Michael Spear

Michael John Spear, 64, of Westminster, passed away peacefully on Tuesday afternoon, May 8, 2018 at Carroll Hospice Dove House, surrounded by his loving family.  Born February 5, 1954 in Baltimore, he was the son of the late Alton and Audrey (Culp) Spear.  He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Michelle (Frank) Spear.

Michael loved gardening, coaching softball and was an avid fan of the Baltimore Colts and the Baltimore Ravens.  Above all, he enjoyed spending time with his family and loved his dog, Maggie.  He hated painting and his “honey-do” lists.

In addition to his wife Michelle, he is survived by his daughters, Jess Andrews and her husband, David, of Westminster and Nicole Spear of Cockeysville; a brother-in-law, Carroll Frank and wife, Marcy, of Cockeysville; and a granddaughter, Adaline.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at the MYERS-DURBORAW FUNERAL HOME, 91 Willis Street, Westminster with the Reverend Jimmie L. Schwartz officiating.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 PM.  Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
