Michael Wayne Simonds, age 56 of Spring Grove, PA, formerly of Westminster, died Saturday June 9, 2012 at Carroll Hospital Center. He was born January 9, 1956 in Washington D.C., son of the late Robert and Lorraine King Simonds. He was the husband of Beverly Michael Simonds. He worked as an electrician. He enjoyed boating, fishing and was an avid Washington Redskins fan. He loved spending time with his wife, children and grandson.
In addition to his wife he is survived by his children, Megan Simonds of New Windsor, Melissa Simonds and fiancee’ Stephen Mills of Arnold, MD, Jessica Simonds and husband, Harold Whitmore of New Oxford, PA and Daniel Simonds of Spring Grove, PA; brother, Raymond and wife Alice Simonds of Derry, PA; grandson, Andrew Whitmore.
He was predeceased by his sister, Shirley Merica.
A memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday June 24, 2012 at Westminster Church of the Brethren, 1 Park Place, Westminster with Rev. Twyla Rowe officiating. Interment will be private.
