Michael H. Meyer, age 48 of Westminster died Thursday, April 21, 2011
at Carroll Hospice Dove House in Westminster. He was born May 8, 1962 in Gettysburg the son of Benjamin S. Meyer of Westminster and the late Dixie Lee Dull Meyer who died in March 2009. Michael attended Highland View Academy in Hagerstown and was a 1980 graduate of Westminster High School. He was a member of the Westminster Seventh-Day Adventist Church. Michael worked in maintenance for the Springwell Assisted Living in Baltimore. He enjoyed all types of sports and spending time with his granddaughter.
In addition to his father he is survived by his children, Michael B. Meyer of Littlestown, Timothy J. Meyer of Silver Run, Jessica L. Lentz of Hanover, Nikki Meyer and Cal J. Meyer both of McSherrystown; siblings, Steven T. Meyer and Philip M. Meyer both of Tennessee and Lisa Beaver of Littlestown; also his granddaughter, Summer Rodkey.
He was predeceased by his sister, Deborah Meyer Hyde who died in 1987.
A funeral service will be held Tuesday April 26, 2011, 11:00 A.M.
at the Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 91 Willis Street, Westminster with Pastor F. Stephen Wall officiating. Interment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Silver Run.
The family will receive friends Monday 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 pm at the funeral home.
