Maxine Evelyn (Welsh) Wilson

December 26, 1921 — August 6, 2013

Maxine E. Wilson, 91, of Westminster died peacefully Tuesday afternoon, August 6, 2013 at Carroll Lutheran Village Healthcare Center.
Born December 26, 1921 in Cumberland, Maryland she was the daughter of the late George W. Sr. and Ethel M. Wagner Welsh.  Her husband, Paul Wilson, predeceased her in 1989.
Mrs. Wilson was a hairdresser for Wesley United Methodist Home in Mt. Washington for 22 years.  She was a member of the Westminster United Methodist Church.  She enjoyed living and was very active at Carroll Lutheran Village over the past 8 years, along with her dear sister Lula who passed away in January.  She was an avid reader and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
Surviving her are children and spouses, Rt. Army CW05, Paul R. Wilson and Col. Georgette Wilson of Rhode Island, Linda L. and Jerry Reese of The Villages, FL and Nancy A. and Barry Russell of NC; brother, George W. Welsh, Jr. and wife Janet of Randallstown; 12 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her sister and best friend, Lula E. Dillinger.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 10, 2013 at Carroll Lutheran Village Krug Chapel, 300 St. Luke Circle, Westminster with Rev. Diane L. Day and Rev. Mark L. Smiley co-officiating.  Burial will be private in Woodlawn Cemetery.  The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service Saturday at Krug Chapel.

Arrangements are by the Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home in Westminster.
