Born September 12, 1938 in Massachusetts, she was the daughter of the late James A. and Florence (O’Connor) Monahan.
She was a registered nurse and worked for most of her nursing career at UCSF. She volunteered with the M.S. Society, and was an afterschool tutor for children. Mimi was very proud of her Irish heritage.
Surviving her are a sister, Anne E. Berner and husband Rick of Taneytown; brother, James E. Monahan of Arizona; 3 nieces and 3 nephews.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m., on Thursday, April 23, 2015 at St. John Catholic Church, 43 Monroe St., Westminster. Burial will be at a later date at Pine Memorial Cemetery in Southern Pines, N.C. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home in Westminster.
