Mary Lou (Lowe) Fenwick

Mary Lou Fenwick, 87 of Taneytown, Maryland went to be with the Lord on February 27, 2024.

Mary Lou was born on November 2, 1936 in Memphis, Tennessee.  She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Thomas Fenwick, son Thomas Fenwick, Jr., daughter Susan DeGrouchy, son-in-law William DeGrouchy, grandchildren, Evan DeGrouchy and Megan DeGrouchy and beloved brother Bob Lowe.  She is preceded in death by her parents and brother, Tom Lowe.

After attending the University of Tennessee, working for the Knoxville Chamber of Commerce, Mary Lou came to Washington, DC in 1962 to work for the Department of Navy.  She then worked for Bell Atlantic/Verizon for 30 years, retiring in 2002.  She then spent the next 22 years enjoying time with family, grandchildren and following the adventures of her children telling them always, “to slow down”.  She loved clothes, shopping, traveling, country music, and football, being a big fan of University of Tennessee and Baltimore Ravens.

A viewing will be held on Saturday, March 2, 2024 from 1pm to 2pm to be followed by a funeral service and burial at, Mt. Union Lutheran Church, 5000 Middleburg Road, Taneytown, Maryland 21787.
