Mary Ann (Kern) Thompson, age 63, of Mt. Wolf, Pennsylvania died peacefully on Friday, January 30, 2015 at home.
Born June 4, 1951 in Owings Mills, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Walter Lindberg and Mary Anna (Cool) Kern. She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Cleveland Russell Thompson.
She loved shopping at Wal-Mart and spending time with her family.
Surviving in addition to her husband are children, Debra Marie Sheaffer and husband Warren of Cornwall, PA, Cleveland Russell Thompson, Jr. and wife Georgia of Hanover, PA, Sabrina Roxanna Veronica Thompson and husband George Sanchez of York, PA, Mark Thomas Sawyer Thompson and wife Sharanda of Glen Rock, PA, Princess Christina Lynn Schultze and husband Craig of Loganville, PA, Melony Marie Kern of York, PA, and Lisa Dawn Kern and husband Jason Fields of Hanover, PA; granddaughter, Samantha Dawn Thompson Thacker and 19 additional grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren and 1 on the way; brothers, William Kern of Westminster, Eugene Kern of Hanover, PA, Ronnie Kern of Coolville, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by son-in-law, Hiram Rivera; and brothers, Steven and Carl Kern.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 3, 2015 from 6-8 p.m. and on Wednesday, February 4, 2015 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of a funeral service at 12:00 p.m. at the Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 91 Willis St, Westminster, MD, with Funeral Celebrant John C. Morrill officiating. Burial will follow in Meadow Branch Cemetery in Westminster.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home to help defray final expenses.
