Mary Agnes Reckley, 70, of Emmitsburg died peacefully Sunday, January 13, 2013 at her home. Born June 1, 1942 in Gettysburg, PA, she was the daughter of the late Francis and Mary Regina Shorb McGraw. She was the wife of Joseph C. Reckley to whom she was married for 48 years.
Mary was a graduate of St. Joseph High School, class of 1960. She was a member of St. Anthony Shrine Parish in Emmitsburg and was co-owner of Joseph C. Reckley Plumbing & Heating in Emmitsburg. She enjoyed trips to Florida and Branson, Missouri, card games, and spending time with family and friends.
Surviving in addition to her husband are daughter, Angela Reckley of Charles Town, WV; son, Joseph F. Reckley and wife, Kristy, of Brunswick; sister, Barbara McGraw of Emmitsburg; mother-in-law, Helen Long of Hanover, PA; grandchildren, Aaron Reckley, Chelsie Eyler, Jessica Reckley, Lauren Eyler, Jody Reckley, and Kolby Reckley; great-granddaughter, Shay Reckley; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by infant daughter, Annette Reckley.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, January 17 at St. Anthony Shrine Parish, 16150 St. Anthony Rd., Emmitsburg, MD with the Rev. Lawrence Donohoo serving as celebrant. Interment will follow at St. Anthony’s Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday, 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 210 West Main St, Emmitsburg, MD. A Christian wake service will be held at 7 p.m.
