Born July 24, 1953 in Washington, DC, she was the daughter of Mary Vernette Ryan Souders of Westminster the late Harry G. Nelson. She was a veteran of the U.S. Army, where she served as a medic.
Surviving in addition to her mother are sisters, Donna Gscheidle of Westminster and Jacquelynn Ratliff of Virginia and brothers, Patrick A. Stevens of Massachusetts and Harry G. Nelson, Jr. of Virginia; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside services with Military Honors will be held 11:30 AM Tuesday, December 9, 2014 at Garrison Forest State Veterans Cemetery, Owings Mills.
