Mary Elizabeth (Stouter) Fogle of Emmitsburg, Maryland died peacefully Monday, February 9, 2015 at Gettysburg Hospital in Gettysburg, PA. Born May 26, 1936 in Emmitsburg, she was the daughter of the late Martin and Pauline (Bollinger) Stouter. She was the wife of the late Thomas Brady Fogle, Sr., to whom she was married for 58 years. He died January 28, 2012.
Mary was a homemaker and devoted wife and mother. She worked for a time in her younger years as a seamstress at the Emmitsburg Sewing Factory, and also served as a volunteer room mother at Emmitsburg Elementary School. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Emmitsburg. She enjoyed caring for her pets, watching and feeding birds, going to yard sales, traveling, growing flowers, watching soap operas and game shows, and spending time with her family. The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of St. Catherine’s Nursing Center in Emmitsburg where Mary resided for 3 years, and to the doctors and nurses who cared for her at Gettysburg Hospital.
Surviving are daughter, Diane Neiderer and husband Charlie of Taneytown; sons, Thomas Fogle, Jr. and wife Milissa of Waynesboro, PA, and Harry Fogle and partner Donaldo Jones-Fogle of Waynesboro; grandchildren, Dawn Albaugh and fiancé Chuck Koontz of Waynesboro, Donna Richmond and husband Doug of Littlestown, PA, Michael Fogle and fiancée Patricia Harris of York, PA, Shawn Fogle and wife Carla of Chambersburg, PA, Miranda and Cassandra Fogle of Chambersburg, PA, and Isaac, Megan, and Jacob Fogle of Waynesboro, PA; 9 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandson; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by great-grandson, Cole Brady Fogle.
The family will receive friends 7-9 p.m. on Thursday, February 12, 2015, at Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 210 W. Main St, Emmitsburg, MD. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, February 13 at the funeral home with the Rev. Charles F. Krieg, C.M. officiating. Interment will follow at New St. Joseph Cemetery.
