Mary Ellen Farver, age 88 died Wednesday, August 1, 2012 at Golden Living Center in Gettysburg, PA , after an extended illness. She was born April 1, 1924 in Paw Paw, WV, daughter of the late Bennie and Pearl Simmons Delawder. She was the wife of the late Leroy A. Farver, who died in 1991.
Mrs. Farver was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church in New Windsor, MD. She worked at Westminster Shoe Factory and Pleasant Valley.
She is survived by a daughter, Barbara Jean Parrish and husband, Ralph, Sr. of Littlestown, PA and a son, William “Doc” Reese, Jr. of Westminster, MD; sister, Caroline Haines of Taneytown, MD; also 5 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by 2 sisters, Elizabeth Flannery and Phyllis Bright and 2 brothers, Owen and Richard Delawder.
A funeral service will be held 11:00 A.M. Monday August 6, 2012
at Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 91 Willis Street, Westminster with John Morrill, Hospice Chaplain officiating. Interment in Taylorsville United Methodist Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Monday 9:00 A.M. until time of service at the funeral home.
