Mary Kathryn Dutterer, 97, of Hanover, PA, died peacefully Saturday, December 19, 2015 at Hanover Hospital in Hanover, PA. Born November 28, 1918 in Taneytown, MD, she was the daughter of the late Howard and Lillian (Haines) Maus. She was the wife of the late Ralph Dutterer, who died in 2003 after 60 years of marriage.
Mary Kathryn was a devoted wife, mother, and homemaker. She enjoyed spending time with her family, and participating in all the activities at Homewood at Plum Creek, where she lived for the past 11 years. She was a lifelong member of Emmanuel Baust United Church of Christ.
Surviving are daughter, Phyllis Schwartz and her husband Lyman of Gettysburg; son, Edmund Dutterer and his wife Carolyn of Westminster; 5 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, December 22, 2015 at the Homewood at Plum Creek chapel, 425 Westminster Ave., Hanover, PA, 17331 with Chaplain Austin Chinault and Chaplain Joel Hummel officiating. Interment will follow at Emmanuel Baust Cemetery near Tyrone, MD. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until the time of the service at the Homewood chapel.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Homewood at Plum Creek Benevolent Fund at the above address. Arrangements have been entrusted to MYERS-DURBORAW FUNERAL HOME in Taneytown.
