Mary Josephine “Mary Jo” “Josie” Dubsky, age 68, of Westminster, Maryland, died on Sunday, April 24, 2016 at the Carroll Hospital Center in Westminster.
Born September 29, 1947 in Ft. Wayne, Indiana, she was the daughter of the late Warren John and Mary Ann (Kelley) Dubsky. She was predeceased by her beloved life-partner of 27 years, Charlotte Zinser in 2013.
Mary Jo was a mathematics teacher in the Baltimore city area school system and retired as a supervisor of mathematics instructors. She loved her pets, was an avid reader, and life-long Orioles baseball fan.
Surviving her are siblings, John Dubsky of Central, S.C., James Dubsky and wife Teresa of Marietta, GA, Philip Liechty and wife Linda of Columbus, OH, Richard Dubsky of Central, S.C., Patricia Layfield and husband Melvin of Bowie, MD, Kathryn Dubsky and husband Tom of Forrestville, CA, Margaret Dubsky of Willards, MD, Jenifer Karwoski and husband Tony of Crownsville, MD, and Brenda Leister and husband Dave of Baltimore, MD; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
She was predeceased by brothers, William and Robert Dubsky.
An informal gathering of family and friends will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 27, 2016 in the fellowship hall of St. John (Leisters) Lutheran Church, 827 Leisters Church Rd., Westminster, MD.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the humane society or animal rescue of one’s choice. Arrangements have been entrusted to the MYERS-DURBORAW FUNERAL HOME in Westminster.
