Mary Elizabeth Brehm, 91, of Westminster, died Sunday afternoon, November 30, 2014 at Golden Living Nursing Center.
Born October 26, 1923 in Union Bridge, she was the daughter of the late H. Paul and Margaret E. Englar Hull. She was the wife of the late Russell H.Brehm, her husband of 65 years.
She was a long-time member of St. John’s (Leisters) Lutheran Church, having joined in 1944 and was a faithful worker “behind the scenes”. Mary was a long-time volunteer for Carroll Lutheran Village, Longview Nursing Home and NESAP. She and her husband did a lot of traveling after his retirement. Mary was a devoted caregiver to her family.
Surviving are daughters, Phyllis Dull and husband, Ralph of Hampstead and Lois Bankert and husband, Larry of Manchester; 4 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by brothers, Edwin and Richard Hull.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, December 4th at St. John’s (Leisters) Lutheran Church, 827 Leister's Church Road, Westminster, with her pastor, Reverend Kristin Dubsky, officiating. Burial will be in Leisters Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 3-5 and 7-9 PM at the Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 91 Willis Street, Westminster, and also one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday.
