Mary C. Ash, age 76, of Randallstown, Maryland, died peacefully on Sunday, February 16, 2014 at her home surrounded by family.
She was born on October 24, 1937 in Baltimore, Maryland, the daughter of the late Walter D. and Victoria Sczepanski Butler. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Richard S. Ash.
Mary graduated from Milford Mill H.S. and was a school bus driver for 22 years with the Baltimore County School System. She was of the Catholic faith, loved lighthouses, and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
Surviving in addition to her husband are sons, Michael Ash of Finksburg, Dale Ash of Hampstead, Jeffrey Ash of Finksburg, and Brandon Ash of Hampstead; 7 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 20, 2014 from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. at the Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 91 Willis St., Westminster. A Prayer Service will be held on Friday, February 21, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Andrew Mohl of Holy Family Catholic Church officiating. Interment will follow in Lakeview Memorial Park in Sykesville.
