Martha Elizabeth Ditmer, age 87 of New Oxford, PA died Thursday, May 1, 2008 at The Brethren Home Community. She was born February 27, 1921 in Mechanicsburg, PA the daughter of the late John and Anna Eckroth Ditmer. She worked with handcrafts at the Goodwill. She was a member of the Church of the Brethren in Mechancisburg. She was a very religious lady and enjoyed going to church. She was a V.I.P. reader for the residents at the Brethren Home where she was a resident for 27 years. She loved to play the piano and was always willing to help others.
She is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, John G. and Marilyn Ditmer of Thorton, Colorado; cousin, June and her husband Edwin Ebersole of Elizabethtown, PA.; also several other cousins.
A funeral service will be held Monday 10:00 A.M. at Nicarry Meeting House on the campus of the Brethren Home Community, 2990 Carlisle Pike, New Oxford, PA with Rev. Merv Wunderlich and Rev. Del Keeney officiating.
The family will receive friends 9:00 am until time of service at the meeting house.
