Marlin Edward Reid, III, age 61, of Livonia, Michigan, died on Friday, February 20, 2009 in Michigan.
Born October 16, 1947 in Gettysburg, PA, he was the son of Rose E. (Beall) Reid and the late Marlin E. Reid, Jr.
A world traveler, he would meet and fall in love with MaryAnn (Winkler) Reid, while on a trip to Spain, they married on July 15, 1987. He was a devoted member of Newburg United Methodist Church in Livonia, Michigan. He enjoyed biking and was an avid reader.
Surviving in addition to his wife, are a sister, Joanne Shedlock; a brother, David Reid; and one nephew, Gerard Reid.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, on Tuesday, February 24, 2009 at the Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 136 E. Baltimore St., Taneytown with the Rev. Dave Meador officiating. Interment will follow in the Grace United Church of Christ Cemetery in Taneytown. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 10:00 AM until the time of service at the funeral home.
