Marilyn Mueller Eyler of Westminster MD passed on December 26 at Carroll Lutheran Village. Born in Keifers, Maryland,  she was the daughter of the late Walter and Olive Mueller. She was married to the late Paul Eyler Sr. 

Marilyn graduated from Oldtown School and received a teaching degree from Frostburg State Teachers College. She taught middle school English in both Carroll and Baltimore Counties, was a librarian, and an adult education and family literacy teacher. In 1987, she was nominated by her peers and received the Teacher of the Year award from the Maryland Association for Adult Community and Continuing Education. Marilyn was an avid traveler having visited all 50 states and many countries throughout the world. She was a member of the Historical Society of Carroll County, a local garden club, Homemakers Club, and Maryland State Retired Teachers Association. 

Marilyn is survived by children Paul Eyler Jr. and wife Kristine, Justin Eyler and wife Kristin, and Lynne Luckenbaugh and husband Jayson. She was the grandmother of Rebekah and Jonathan Eyler, Anna and Aidan Eyler, Katelynne Rhody and husband Jacob, and Luke Luckenbaugh and fiancé Abby Anderson. She was the great grandmother to Ella and Ada. Marilyn is also survived by siblings James Mueller and Freda DeGruchy. She was predeceased by siblings Norma Appold, Betty Andrews, A. Adele Mueller, Walter Mueller Jr., Charles Mueller, Shirley Funari, Robert Mueller, Richard Mueller, and A. Eddy Mueller. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. 

A memorial service will be held at Westminster United Methodist Church on February 8 at 1pm followed by light refreshments. Family will receive friends from 12pm up until the time of the service. Memorial contributions can be made to Habitat for Humanity of Carroll County or Westminster United Methodist Church.
