Marie Golding Barnes, age 99, of Westminster died December 2, 2012 at Sun Valley at the Meadows Assisted Living. She was born April 29, 1913 in Lawrenceville, NJ daughter of the late Warren and Matilda Smith Golding. She was the wife of the late Beverley Lee Barnes, who died in 1984. She worked as a merchandiser for Montgomery Wards. Marie lived for many years at Locust House in Westminster and she attended Church of the Open Door.
She is survived by children, William Barnes and wife, Beverly of White Haven, PA, David Barnes and wife, Grace of Wheaton, MD and Donald Barnes of Westminster; sisters, Virginia Wilkinson of Houston, TX and Edith Haralcher of Ft. Myers, FL; grandchildren, Jason Barnes, Jonathan Barnes, Andrew Barnes and Daniel Barnes; great grandchild, Kaelin Barnes.
She was predeceased by siblings, Florence Wargny, Warren Golding, Jr., Elizabeth Hull and her daughter-in-law, Deborah Barnes.
A funeral service will be held 1:30 pm on Friday December 7, 2012
at Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 91 Willis Street, Westminster with Rev. John Aldrich
officiating.
Interment will follow in Meadowridge Memorial Park in Elkridge.
The family will receive friends Thursday 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 pm
at the funeral home.
