Mariana Katherine Myers, 82, of Gettysburg, PA, formerly of Littlestown, died peacefully Saturday, March 22, 2014 at Transitions Nursing Home in Gettysburg. Born July 24, 1931 in Emmitsburg, MD, she was the daughter of the late Henry Russell and Mariana Katherine (Roddy) Wetzel. She was the wife of the late Lawrence Myers, who died in 1990.
Mariana was a secretary with IBM Corporation in Gaithersburg, MD for many years. She was a member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Littlestown, PA. She led a simple life and enjoyed spending time with her family.
She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by sisters, Agatha Julia Altland and Mary Elizabeth Frazer, and brothers, James and Philip Wetzel.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 29 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 44 Frederick St, Taneytown, MD with Monsignor Martin E. Feild as celebrant. Inurnment will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Anthony Shrine Parish, 16150 St. Anthony Rd., Emmitsburg, MD, 21727.
