Margie Elizabeth Hanson, age 80 of Finksburg, died Thursday, November 10, 2011 at Carroll Hospital Center. She was born August 20, 1931 in Bird Hill, MD, daughter of the late George A. and S. Catherine (Welch) Zepp. She was the wife of the late William Z. Hanson.
She was a homemaker who enjoyed canning fruits and vegetables and cooking for friends and family.
She is survived by children, William LeRoy Hanson of Manchester, Wanda J. Hanson of Finksburg and Allen D. Hanson of Philadelphia, PA; brother, George L. Zepp and wife, Nancy and sister-in-law, Barbara Zepp all of Westminster, also several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her brother, William R. Zepp.
A funeral service will be held 10:00 AM on Tuesday, November 15, 2011 at Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 91 Willis Street, Westminster with Rev. David L. Meador officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Finksburg.
The family will receive friends on Monday from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
