Margaret M. Waltz, age 75 of Westminster, died Tuesday November 8, 2011 at Carroll Hospice Dove House. She was born May 3, 1936 in Hanover, PA, daughter of the late Allen E. and Helen M. (Feeser) Becker.
She was the wife of 54 years to the late James A. Waltz who died in 2007.
She worked as a seamstress with English American, and was a bus assistant with ARC Carroll County. She loved reading, gardening, fishing, cooking, camping, and attending blue grass festivals. She gave her family unconditional love.
She is survived by children, Darlene Haines and husband Earl of Westminster, Jim Waltz and wife Linda of Littlestown, PA, Patty Garber and companion Jerry Henderson of Littlestown, PA, Cindy Leppo of Westminster, Dave Waltz and wife Deb of Gettysburg, PA, and Joe Waltz of Westminster; son-in-law, Bruce Garber of Westminster, daughter-in-law, Kim Strewig-Waltz of Westminster; 18 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; siblings, Mary Barrett of Westminster, Henrietta Esworthy of Westminster, Peggy Hoff of PA, Raymond Becker of Westminster, and Richard Becker of Finksburg.
Also surviving are many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by a grandson, Brice Garber and by siblings, Allen, John, and Robert Becker, Sue Groft, Jackie Heffner, and Marie Hartman.
A funeral service will be held Saturday November 12, 2011, 10 AM at Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 91 Willis Street, Westminster with Rev. Scott A. Brown officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Gardens, Finksburg.
The family will receive friends Friday, 3-5 and 7-9 PM at the funeral home.
