Margaret Virginia Burke Ritter, 69, of Taneytown died Thursday, January 16, 2014 at Golden Living Center in Westminster. Born January 14, 1945 in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Clara Crouse Burke.
Margaret was a housewife and homemaker. She enjoyed gardening, caring for animals, spending time with her family, and helping others. She was a member of the Baptist faith.
Surviving are son, Tony Youngbar and wife Trina of Limestone, TN; brothers, Earl Burke and wife Darlene of Maryland, and Ray Burke and wife Shanay of Virginia; close friend and sister-in-law, Pat Burke of Taneytown; grandsons, Brandon Youngbar of Limestone, TN, and Jonathan Youngbar and wife Danyal of Groton, CT; great-granddaughter, Daisy Youngbar; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by sisters, Deenie, Shirley, and Betty, and brother, Ernest Burke Jr.
The family will receive friends 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Saturday, January 18 at Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 136 E. Baltimore St, Taneytown, MD. Graveside services and interment will follow at Rest Haven Cemetery in Hanover, PA.
