Margaret Marie Ridenour, age 59, life-long resident of Emmitsburg, Maryland, died peacefully on Sunday, December 30, 2012 at the Gettysburg Hospital.
Born August 10, 1953 in Gettysburg, PA, she was the daughter of the late Earle R. and Donaldine E. (Hann) Gelwicks. She was the wife of 41 years to Jerome “Jerry” F. Ridenour.
Surviving in addition to her husband are daughters, Susan E. Fraley and husband Bill of Thurmont, Melissa M. Andrew and husband Blaine of Orrtanna, PA; grandchildren, Amanda Stanley, Sarah Hankins, and Kayleigh Bollinger; siblings, Mary Anne Baker of Finksburg, John and Joseph Gelwicks of Emmitsburg, Joan Elower of Emmitsburg, and James Gelwicks of Emmitsburg; many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by siblings, Robert and Mark Gelwicks, and Donaldine Singley.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 3, 2013 from 10 a.m. until the time of a Prayer Service at 12:00 p.m. at the Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 210 West Main St, Emmitsburg, MD, with Rev. Charles F. Krieg, C.M. officiating. Interment will follow in the New St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery in Emmitsburg.
