Margaret Cecilia (Wright) Rhoades died on Sunday, July 10th. She was the wife of the late Edward A. Rhoades Sr.
Born on September 2, 1940, in Washington, D.C., she was the daughter of the late John T. Wright Sr. and Dorothy McCombs Wright.
For more than twenty years she sold Real Estate in the Frederick County area. She was an avid reader, a baker and canner, and you would rarely find her sitting down without either working on a quilt or knitting for her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is survived by her children Edward (Tracy) Rhoades Jr., Margot (Jeff) Rhoades, and Mary Kathleen (Billy) Huffman. In addition, she is survived by her grandchildren, Teddy Rhoades, Alexandra Rhoades, Victoria Ridge, Robert Ridge Jr., Gabrielle Rhoades, and one step-grandchild Jeffrey Boone Jr. She was also blessed with four great-grandchildren in the last years of her life.
She was pre-deceased by her brother John T. Wright Jr.
The family will receive friends at the home of the deceased on Saturday, July 16th from 10 to noon.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial donations be made to the American Heart Society or the Humane Society.
