Margaret Rose Day, age 73, of Westminster, died peacefully on Thursday, July 31, 2014 at Carroll Hospice Dove House.
Born June 13, 1941 in Baltimore, Md., she was the only child of the late Donald Hagan and Dorothy Marie Day. She lived with her mother until age 7 in Cedarhurst, Md., and following the death of her mother was raised by her grandparents. In 1960 she graduated from Westminster High School. Her last job was at Random House and she retired from there in 2003. Margaret enjoyed playing BINGO and Wii games with other people at her home in Locust House in Westminster.
Surviving are cousins, Janet Saboury and Bud Brown both of Westminster, and several other cousins and friends.
Friends may call on Wednesday, August 6, 2014 from 1 p.m. until the time of a Memorial Service at 2 p.m. at the Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 91 Willis St., Westminster with the Rev. Timothy J. Brassell officiating. Burial will follow in Providence Cemetery in Gamber.
Memorials may be made to Carroll Hospice Dove House, 292 Stoner Ave., Westminster, MD 21157. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home in Westminster.
