Marcos Segovia

Marcos "Papa" Segovia, 66, of Westminster, MD, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 7, 2025, at Sinai Hospital in Baltimore. Born on April 6, 1958, in Corpus Christi, TX, he was the son of the late Francisco and Lenor (Rueda) Segovia. He grew up in a loving household with his siblings, Cecelia, Inez, Thomas, Monica, Miguel, Vincent, and David.

He will be remembered as a loving and generous man, always ready to lend a helping hand. For 19 years, Marcos dedicated his career to public service with the Department of Social Security, retiring in 2023. He dreamed of returning to his hometown of Corpus Christi, TX, spending his days fishing on the Gulf of Mexico, and embracing the "beach bum" lifestyle. He was a devoted grandfather, finding immense joy in spoiling his grandchildren, kayaking and watching soccer. 

He is survived by his daughter, Katryna Trombetta, her husband, Steve, and his three cherished grandchildren. He is also survived by his son, Joshua Segovia, and his wife, Erin Elmore.

In passing, he joins his beloved wife, Wendy Segovia, and his siblings, Ignacia Segovia, Antonio Segovia, and Luis Segovia, in the kingdom of Heaven.

A celebration of Marcos's life will be held on Friday, February 14, 2025, at 11 a.m. at Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 91 Willis Street, Westminster, MD 21157.
