Malcolm N. Stewart

Malcolm Norman Stewart, Esq. age 80, of Carroll Valley, PA died peacefully Sunday, March 11, 2012 at St. Catherine Nursing Center in Emmitsburg, MD. Born May 26, 1931 in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of the late Malcolm Norman and Sarah Ousler Stewart. He was the husband of Betty Eilinsfeld Stewart.

He was a veteran of the United States Air Force, having served during the Korean conflict. He was a parishioner at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Emmitsburg. He graduated from the University of Baltimore School of Law in 1973 and retired as an Administrative Law Judge for the State of Maryland. He was a loving husband and father with a good sense of humor and enjoyed celebrating his Scottish heritage.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by son, Malcolm “Chip” Stewart and wife, Michele, of Leesburg, VA; daughter, Eileen Patricia Stewart of Mt. Airy; step-children, Katharine Warthen and husband, Rich, of Carroll Valley, PA, Mike Hansell of Frederick, and Liz Stacho and husband, Jim, of Frederick; sister, Marlyn Brooks and husband, Ross, of Marriottsville; grandson, Ryan Stewart; and step-grandchildren, Zach Hansell, Miriam, Peter, John, and James Warthen, and Dylan and Adria Stacho.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:15a.m. Thursday, March 15, 2012 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 47 DePaul St., Emmitsburg, MD with the Rev. John J. Holliday, C.M., serving as celebrant. Interment will follow at New St. Joseph Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday from 10 a.m. until the time of the Mass.
