Louise Jane Edrington, age 92 of Westminster, died Tuesday, November 8, 2011 at Carroll Lutheran Village Health Care Center. She was born July 3, 1919 in Boston, GA, daughter of the late John Newton and Eula Eugnia Achridge Reichert. She was the wife of the late Atlee R. Edrington, her husband of 53 years, who died in 2002. She received her B.S. in science at Georgia State College for Women in Milledgeville, GA.
She was the Director of Dietetics at Union Memorial Hospital and was a dietician at Robinsons Nursing Home and in the Baltimore City Schools, including Poly Western School. She retired in 1979. She was the president of the Women’s Society at Epworth United Methodist Church and a den mother for the Cub Scouts. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Westminster.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Randolph “Randy” A. and Karen L. Edrington of Westminster. grandchildren, Ryan and Katherine Edrington, sister, Lorene Wheeler of Boston, GA. also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by siblings, Neeley, Lawrence, Little, Charlie, Willie, Dennis, Homer and Clarence Reichert and Lillie Sculley.
A funeral service will be held Friday November 11, 2011, 10:00 A.M.
at Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 91 Willis Street, Westminster with Rev. Walt Peters officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Zion United Methodist Cemetery in Finksburg.
The family will receive friends Thursday 3:00 to 5:00 pm and 7:00 to 9:00 pm at the funeral home.
