Louise (Frazier) Arvin

Catherine Louise Arvin, 82, of Taneytown, died on Monday, September 13, 2021 at her home.  Born March 22, 1939 in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Ruth (Keene) Frazier.  She was the devoted wife of Richard Arvin, to whom she was married 66 years.

Louise was a long-time employee of Thunderhead Lanes in Taneytown, and then Belk in Westminster.  She enjoyed flower gardening, bowling, and collecting shot glasses from near and far.  She was a fan of both the Ravens and Orioles.  Her greatest joy was spending time with family, especially her great-grandchildren, at family game days and pool parties.

Surviving, in addition to her husband Richard, are her children, Tom Arvin and wife Cherry of Gettysburg, PA, Terry Rasche of Taneytown, and Sharron Hill and husband Jamie of Hanover, PA; brother, Rich Frazier and wife Debbie of Taneytown; grandchildren, Ryan Arvin and wife Tasha, Matt Arvin, Allen Rasche and wife Mary, Ben Rasche, and Jay Hill; great-grandchildren, Aubrey, Ava, Wyatt, Harper, and Emma; and several nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by sisters, Edna Haugh and Liz Michael.

A Memorial Service will be held at 4 PM on Saturday, October 2nd , 2021 at Hesson Snider American Legion Post 120, 9 Broad St., Taneytown, MD, followed by a celebration of Louise's life.  In lieu of flowers, please plant a tree or flower in Louise’s memory.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home in Taneytown.
