Lonnie Lynn Baumgardner

April 21, 1956 — January 2, 2017

Lonnie L. Baumgardner, 60, of New Windsor, died early Monday, January 2, 2017 at Carroll Hospital Center.  Born April 21, 1956 in Washington County, VA, he was the son of the late John M. and Florence I. (Lewis) Baumgardner.  He was the beloved husband of Wanetta Faye (Harris) Baumgardner.

Lonnie owned his own landscaping company and was a member of Bark Hill Bible Church in Union Bridge.  He was an avid fisherman and loved the outdoors, nature, and hiking 3 states of the Appalachian Trail.  He was a very good storyteller and loved to talk. He never met a stranger and was everyone’s friend.

Surviving him in addition to his wife are children and spouses, Joshua and April Baumgardner of Westminster, Jennifer and Mark Isherwood of Westminster, Sarah and Scott Fitzpatrick of Hampstead, Aaron Robertson of Westminster and Devin Staples of Hanover, PA; step-children, Jordan Black and companion, Josh Dubs, of  Taneytown and James Black of Essex; siblings and spouses, Clifford Ray (Bertha) Baumgardner of Westminster; Shannon Baumgardner of Westminster, Shirley Bauerlien of Taneytown, Grace (George) Keeney of New Windsor, Phyllis (Mike) Warner of New Windsor, Billy Baumgardner of Westminster and Linda Rollison of Westminster; sister-in-law, Kathy Baumgardner of Westminster; grandchildren, T.J. Albaugh, Isabel, Shelby, and Cooper Baumgardner, Victoria Isherwood, Branden, Brian and Zachary Shaffer, Gregory Robertson and Zachary Hillis; a special uncle, James G. Lewis and his wife, Georgia of Abingdon, VA; his fishing buddy, Ricky Wagner, of Emmitsburg and many nieces and nephews.  He was also predeceased by his brothers, Delmar, David and Bobby Baumgardner.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 7, 2017 at the MYERS-DURBORAW FUNERAL HOME, 91 Willis Street, Westminster with the Reverend Dr. Thomas Darner officiating.  Burial will follow in Mt. View Cemetery, Union Bridge.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 6:00-9:00 PM and from 10:00 AM until the time of the service on Saturday.

Contributions may be made to the Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 91 Willis Street, Westminster, MD  21157 to assist the family with final expenses.
