Lola Madeline Redmer

Lola Madeline Redmer, age 88 of Manchester died Wednesday September 7, 2011 at her home. She was born August 23, 1923 in Holden, West Virginia, daughter of the late Leonard F. and Alice B. Williams Perry. She was the wife of the late Henry F. Redmer, Jr. who died in February 2001.
She married her husband Henry F. Redmer, Jr. on December 8, 1945 and they were married for 55 years. She attended school in Logan County, WV. For a short period of time she was a cosmetologist and than worked at Glenn L. Martin Co. in Baltimore during the World War II years. After many years as a homemaker she became an assistant librarian at West Middle School in Westminster. She was a former member of St. Paul’s United Church of Christ. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
She is survived by children, William H. Redmer and companion, Meg Jackson, Bruce W. Redmer and fiancée, Patricia Olwine and Barbara J. Preston and husband, Mike Preston all of Manchester; brother, William L. Perry of Norfolk, VA; also survived by 8 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by siblings, Boyd “Jack” Perry, Mary Alice Batton and Betty Lou Letsinger.
In accordance with Madeline’s wishes, there will be no visitation or memorial service.
