Lois Wheatley, 77, of Jamestown, NC, passed away on February 16, 2016 after a long struggle with cancer. Born and raised in Emmitsburg, MD, she was a graduate of Emmitsburg High School, class of 1956. She was predeceased by her parents, Charles and Evelyn Linn, and sister, Ann Potter. Survivors include her husband, Bernard, to whom she was married for 55 years; son, Darrell and fiancée Maggie of Silver Spring, MD; daughter, Carol Cerra and husband John of Jamestown, NC; sister, Frances Henn of Timonium, MD; 3 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, February 20, 2016 at the Jamestown United Methodist Church, 403 E. Main St., Jamestown, NC. Arrangements in North Carolina are provided by Hanes Lineberry Funeral Home. Burial arrangements in Maryland have been entrusted to Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home in Emmitsburg.
