Lisa Marie Cool Reed, 50, of New Windsor, Maryland died unexpectedly Thursday, October 9, 2014 at her home. Born June 22, 1964 in Gettysburg, PA, she was the daughter of the late Bernard and Bertha Miller Cool. She was the wife of the late Calvin Reed.
Lisa worked as a housekeeper for the Best Western Hotel and Conference Center in Westminster for several years. She was of the Roman Catholic faith. She enjoyed fishing, collecting wolves and Native American items, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was an avid Baltimore Ravens fan.
She is survived by son, Joshua Brown of Frederick; siblings, Francis Cool and wife Linda of East Berlin, PA, Charles Cool and wife Cora Mae of Emmitsburg, Mary Jane Fuss and husband James of Thurmont, Rita McGonigal and husband Robert of Littlestown, PA, Ronald Cool and wife Charlotte of Fairfield, PA, David Cool of Emmitsburg, Linda Stonesifer and husband Walter of Taneytown, Richard Cool and wife Phyllis of Emmitsburg, Nancy Haines of Fairfield, PA, Deborah Cool of Emmitsburg, and Michael Cool and wife Susan of Emmitsburg; grandchildren, Jordan Charles David Brown, Ryleigh Lee Brown, Bobby William Stouffer, and Jacauri Sincere Stewart; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by son, Justin Lee Brown.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, October 17 at Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 210 W. Main St., Emmitsburg, MD. Interment will follow at Emmitsburg Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
