Linda Sue (Amundson) Stone

November 28, 1952 — July 8, 2017

Linda Sue Stone, 64, of Emmitsburg, Maryland, died suddenly on Saturday, July 8, 2017 at the Frederick Memorial Hospital.

Born November 28, 1952 in Washington, D.C. she was the daughter of Amy (Politano) Boyts of Nevada and the late Rolad Amundson.  She is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, David R. Stone, Sr., to whom she was married on December 3, 1970.

Linda was a dairy farmer and enjoyed working on the family dairy farm outside Emmitsburg along with her husband.  She was an avid bowler and participated in several weekly leagues at Thunderhead bowl in Taneytown.  She was a Baltimore Orioles fan.

Surviving in addition to her mother and husband are sons, David R. Stone, Jr. and wife Shari of Carroll Valley, PA, and Robert N. Stone and wife Tracy of Inwood, W.Va.; grandchildren, David Stone, III, Alex, Andrew, Kyle, Kaylee, Brittany and Abigale Stone, Amanda Mitchum; great-grandchildren, Chelsea, Sophia and Anthony; brother, Jon Amundson; step-sisters, Paula Roberts and Chrissy Sharpe; step-brother, David Wayne Amundson; sister-in-law, Shirley Amundson; and special devoted friends, Mary Rose Keffer, Judy Fuller and Brenda Powell.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 13, 2017 at the MYERS-DURBORAW FUNERAL HOME, 136 E. Baltimore St., Taneytown with funeral celebrant John Morrill officiating.  Burial will follow in the Keysville Union Cemetery in Keymar.  The family will receive friends 1-3 and 7-9 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
