Linda Darlene Sherfey

Linda Darlene (Baker) Sherfey, age 76, of Taneytown, died Tuesday, July, 23, 2024 at Westminster Healthcare Center. Born November, 26, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Harry E. and Kathryn E. (Crumbacker) Baker. She was the wife of Wayne Sherfey, her husband of 28 years.

Linda attended Taneytown Jr. and Sr. High School, graduating in 1965. She was a member of Messiah Church in Taneytown. She was very active in the Taneytown Lions Club, serving as First, Second and Third Vice President, and also President.  Linda was a pin coordinator for the District Governor Cabinet for many years. She was honored by Melvin Jones Fellowship for her service. She worked at Marada Industries as a tool crib associate for many years and later worked for Bullocks in Westminster, before retiring in 2020.

Surviving are her husband Wayne; daughters, Kristle Miller, of New Freedom, PA, Kim Colliflower and husband Tim, Sr., of Westminster; grandchildren, Tim “T” Colliflower, Jr and wife Amber, Kris Miller, Jr. and significant other Hanna; great-grandchildren, Zurie and Timothy; cousin (brother), Jimmy Crumbacker and sister-in-law and very close friend, Debbie Bitzel. Linda was predeceased by her parents, Harry and Kathryn; grandson, Justin Lambert; son-in-law, Kris Miller; and brother-in-law, Eddie.

The family will receive friends on Monday, July 29, 2024 from 1-3 p.m. and 5-7 p.m. at Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 136 E. Baltimore Street, Taneytown, MD 21787. A Lions Club Service will be held at the funeral home beginning at 7 p.m.
