Linda Lee Amanda Masser Malinowski, 70, of Oak Hill Florida, formerly of Emmitsburg Maryland, passed away on August 7, 2018, at her home.
Born on April 17, 1948 in Emmitsburg, she was the daughter of the late Albert Silas and Mary Agnes Koontz Masser. She was the wife of Chester M. Malinowski who passed on January 24, 2011.
Linda was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles #4242 where she held the office of Outside Guard, Chaplin,and at the time of her death she held the office of Vice President. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 285 and Amvets Ladies Auxiliary Post 2. During her time in Maryland she worked in the health field as an LPN and along with her husband owned and operated Ski’s video in Westminster, Maryland.
She was a loving mother to her son Steven Silas Pittinger and wife Barbara of Lawndale, North Carolina and daughter Teresa Hobbs and husband Carl of Daytona Beach, Florida. She was a loving grandmother to Benjamin, Jillian, and Matthew Pittinger and Tyler and Carlee Hobbs.
She is also survived by her sisters Karla Eshelman and companion Melvin Baker and Abby Zanella and husband Jack and sister in-law Sherry Masser. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother Lewis Silas Masser.
She will be remember fondly by her sister in-law Shelia Pittinger as well as her Florida family members Blanche and Stephen Durgin, Cathy Sullivan, Roger Maynard, Kay and John Daniel, Vida and Bill Cisko, Alzria Maria, Tammy Ziegler, Lilian Hill, Milly Grimshaw, Monica Whitenton, Jean and Tom Thiel, Bob Jones, and Kathy and Ken McNair.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 16, 2018, at the Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 210 West Main Street, Emmitsburg, MD, beginning at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at the Emmitsburg Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 15, 2018 at the funeral home and from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Thursday.
