Lillian Ann Cantwell, 56, of Hanover, PA, died Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at York Hospital in York, PA. Born February 21, 1960 in Washington, D.C., she was the daughter of Frances Curtis Fields of Harney, MD, and the late Kenneth Fields, Jr. She was the devoted and loving wife of Kyle Cantwell.
Lily was a homemaker who enjoyed quilting, decorative wall-stenciling, and re-finishing antique furniture. She loved being outdoors, and enjoyed camping and canoeing. She was a veteran of the United States Army, having served immediately following her graduation from high school.
Surviving in addition to her husband and mother, are daughters, Rachael Hay and husband Robbie of Gettysburg, PA, and Rebecca Fields and partner Cameron Phillips of Hanover, PA; sisters, Betsy Reisinger and husband Don of Harney, MD, Fran Lorenzo and husband Fred of Gettysburg, PA, and Ginger Raible and husband Jerry of Cumberland, MD; brothers, Kenneth “Buddy” Fields and wife Beth of Harney, MD, and Curt Fields and wife Leigh of Frederick, MD; grandchildren, Constance, Laylynn, Willow, and Teagan; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service to celebrate Lily’s life will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Sunday, October 9, 2016 at Mt. Joy Lutheran Church, 2615 Taneytown Rd., Gettysburg, PA, with the Rev. Dr. Peter J. Naschke officiating. Inurnment will follow in the church cemetery.
