Lillie Mae Glacken, of Thurmont, Maryland, died peacefully on Sunday, April 21, 2013 at the Frederick Memorial Hospital in Frederick, Maryland.
Born in Legore, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Naomi Scott. She was predeceased by husbands, Russell Reed, William Reed, and Maurice Glacken.
She was a seamstress with a clothing factory in Westminster. She was a member of the Westminster Moose Lodge #1381, and enjoyed visiting Charlestown, W.Va.
Surviving are children, Charles Reed and wife Pam of Taneytown, Monty Reed of Taneytown, Shirley May and husband Raymond of Thurmont, Ann O’Brien and husband Patrick of Thurmont, Lynn Welsh and husband Ronnie of Thurmont; 11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husbands she was predeceased by a son, Howard Reed; daughter, Lillie May; grandson, Travis Lupo; brothers, Harry and Charles Scott; sisters, Bertha and Donalene Scott.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at the Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 136 E. Baltimore St., Taneytown, with Deacon Charles E. Barnhart, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in Pipe Creek Cemetery near Linwood. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 3-5 & 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home to help defray final expenses.
