Letitia S. Dayhoff

Letitia S. Dayhoff, age 84, of Taneytown, Maryland, died suddenly on Thursday, September 25, 2008 at her home.
Born March 19, 1924 in York, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late David and Mable A. (Hull) Smith. She was pre-deceased by her husband Glenn U. Dayhoff.
She was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Taneytown, Md. Letitia was formerly employed at Borensteins & Sons Clothing Factory. She was a 1942 graduate of Taneytown High School, and loved knitting and crocheting.
Surviving are children, Ronald E. Dayhoff of Dawsonville, Georgia, Barry W. Dayhoff of Xenia, Ohio, Sylvia A. Miller of Havre de Grace, Md., Douglas A. Dayhoff of Bunker Hill, W.Va., and David C. Dayhoff of New Oxford, Pa.; a sister, Phyllis M. Smith of York, Pa., and brother, Donald M. Smith of Silver Run, Md. Also surviving are 9 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by a brother, Glenn Smith.
A funeral service will be held at 10 AM, on Wednesday, October 1, 2008 from Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 136 E. Baltimore St., Taneytown, with her pastor the Rev. Nicholas Brie officiating. Interment will follow in Keysville Union Cemetery in Keymar, Maryland. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 7-9 PM at the funeral home.
