Leroy Few

September 13, 1943 — January 18, 2015

Hayden Leroy Few, 71, of Taneytown, died peacefully Sunday, January 18, 2015 at his home surrounded by his loving family.  Born September 13, 1943 in Detour, he was the son of the late Carroll and Helen Hann Few.  He was the husband of Brenda Peeks Few, to whom he was married for 29 years.

Hayden was a self-employed farmer and carpenter.  He enjoyed camping, fishing, cutting and splitting wood, repairing mowers, and spending time with his family.  He was a member of the Littlestown Eagles Aerie 2226 and Hesson Snider American Legion Post 120 in Taneytown.

Surviving in addition to his wife are children, Terry Few and wife Teresa of New Windsor, Linda Staley and husband Lyndon of Westminster, Timmy Few and wife Darla of Keymar, Charlie Few of Taneytown, and Leeann Few of Baltimore; sister, Shirley Snyder and husband Williamson of Taneytown; brothers, Carroll Few and wife Hazel of Taneytown, Richard Few and wife Susan of Keymar, and Ronald Few of Taneytown; 11 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by brothers, Robert and James Few.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, January 22 at Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 136 E. Baltimore St, Taneytown, MD, with Deacon Charles E. Barnhart, Jr. officiating.  Interment will follow at Keysville Union Cemetery.  The family will receive friends 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
