Leona Virginia Dell

Leona Virginia Frock Dell passed away on Wednesday, January 31st, 2024 at the age of 94. Leona was the beloved wife of 75 years to Donald Dell. She was the mother to Roger Dell and his wife Deanna, Gregory Dell and his wife Della, and Donna Armacost and her husband Doug. In addition to many friends and older family members, Leona was predeceased by her grandson, Tommy Dell, and great-granddaughter, Jolie Dell.

She was a wonderful Mommom to her 10 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Leona was a 1946 Manchester School graduate and served as a homemaker, farmer, educator, ambassador, and volunteer. She was heavily involved with Farm Bureau, 4-H, and the Lutheran Church Women at St. John’s Leisters Church in Westminster. She loved to travel and was a talented seamstress, floral designer, and artist. Leona found joy in caring for others and in the simple parts of life. Leona lived an impressive life worthy of recognition and celebration and she will be dearly missed. Her memory will carry on in all the lives she touched, the beautiful items she created, the skills she taught others, and the love she filled so many with.

Family will receive friends on Monday February 5th, 2024 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, P.A., 91 Willis Street Westminster, MD 21157. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday February 6th, 2024 at St. John's Lutheran Church, 827 Leisters Church Road Westminster, MD 21157 at 11am.
