Leo Theodore Kabatt, Jr., 70, of Gettysburg, PA died Thursday, August 6, 2015 at Wellspan York Hospital in York, PA.  Born November 1, 1944 in Phoenixville, PA, he was the son of the late Leo and Anna (Zitko) Kabatt, Sr.  He was the husband of Alice (Hastings) Kabatt, to whom he was married for 51 years.

Leo attended Holy Trinity School in Phoenixville, PA, and was a 1962 graduate of St. Pius X High School in Pottstown, PA.  In 1974, he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Commerce and Finance from Villanova University in Villanova, PA.  He was an IBEW Local Union #380, Norristown, PA Journeyman Electrician and served as an International Representative for the IBEW IO in Washington, D.C.  He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Emmitsburg.  He was a 3rd Degree Knight with Knights of Columbus Brute #1860, Emmitsburg, and was a veteran of the United States Air Force.  Leo enjoyed playing golf, remodeling his home, discussing politics, talking with people, and walking his dog Barney.

Surviving in addition to his wife are sons, Paul Kabatt and wife Sally of Perkasie, PA, Philip Kabatt of Lebanon, PA, Michael Kabatt and wife Debra of Burtonsville, MD, and Gregory Kabatt of Germantown, MD; sisters, Patricia Burleson and husband John of Morrisville, PA, and Margaret Longo of Pottstown, PA; brothers, Theodore Kabatt and wife Janice of Phoenixville, PA, and Thomas Kabatt of Pottstown, PA; brother-in-law, Joseph Weiss of Pottstown, PA; grandchildren, Kyra Kent, Lauren Kabatt, Philip Kabatt II, Kristin Kabatt, Gideon Kabatt, and Ryan Kabatt; great-granddaughter, Mikayla Kent; and numerous nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by sister, Barbara Weiss.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 12, 2015, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 47 DePaul St., Emmitsburg, MD with the Rev. Charles F. Krieg, C.M. as celebrant.  The family will receive friends 6-9 p.m. on Tuesday, August 11 at Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 210 W. Main St, Emmitsburg, MD.  A wake service will be held at 8:00 p.m.

A Memorial Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, August 22, 2015 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 217 Dayton St., Phoenixville, PA with the Rev. James Badeaux as celebrant.  Inurnment will follow in Holy Trinity Cemetery.
