Lee "Butch" Kraft

February 9, 1940 — September 7, 2012

Lee Harold “Butch” Kraft, 72, died peacefully Friday, September 7, 2012 at his home in Gettysburg, PA. Born February 9, 1940 in Allentown, PA, he was the son of Loraine Rader Kraft of Carrollton, MD and the late Arlington S. Kraft.




Lee was a service technician for IBM Corporation for more than 20 years. He enjoyed playing his guitars and spending time with family and friends. He leaves behind many wonderful friends from the Gettysburg Church of Christ. They were always there for him during his illness.


Surviving, in addition to his mother, are daughter, Cheryl Crowe of Union Bridge, MD; former wife, Linda Kraft of Taneytown; sister, Elaine Lucas and husband, Donnie, of Red Line, PA; brothers, Donald Kraft and companion, Jimette, of Westminster, Tim Kraft and wife, Betty, of Manchester, Randy Kraft and companion, Pamela, and Bart Kraft and wife, Bonnie, all of Taneytown, and Jeff and Phillip Kraft of Carrollton; granddaughters, Jamie Crowe of Union Bridge and Tabitha Bollinger and companion, Josh Vanleeuwen, of WV; 4 great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind his best 4-legged friend and companion, Dollie.

Funeral services will be held at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, September 11 at Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 136 E. Baltimore St., Taneytown, MD with Scott Smelser of Gettysburg Church of Christ officiating. Interment will be private. The family will receive friends 2-4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. until the time of the service Tuesday.
