Lavina Marie Hollingshead, 75, of Westminster, died Sunday afternoon, July 23, 2017 at Carroll Hospice Dove House.
Born September 5, 1941 in Westminster, she was the daughter of the late Chester and Hortense (Smith) Brown.
Lavina was a seamstress at English American Tailoring for 40 years. She loved to listen to music, particularly Bluegrass. She loved all kinds of animals, cooking, and spending time with family.
Surviving her are her sons, Michael Hollingshead and partner, Stephen Lutz, of Pikesville and Neal Hollingshead and fiancée, Laura Holt, of Westminster; Sister, Beverly Dane of Westminster, Doris Kibler and husband, Ervan, of Westminster, and Nancy Mann and husband, Robert, of Reisterstown; brothers, Richard Brown and wife, Pat, of South Hill, VA; and grandchildren, Jacob and Jenna Hollingshead. She was predeceased by siblings, Leonard and Chester Brown, Linda Resh and Janet Evanick.
A funeral service will be held at 7: 00 PM on Wednesday, July 26, 2017 at the MYERS-DURBORAW FUNERAL HOME, 91 Willis Street, Westminster, with Funeral Celebrant, John Morrill officiating. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 1-3 and 5 PM until the time of the service.
