Larry Eugene Woodie, 71, of Westminster, MD, passed away on Saturday, December 4, 2021 at the Greater Baltimore Medical Center in Towson.  Born December 10, 1949 in Baltimore, he was the son of the late Dwight and Thelma (Moran) Woodie.  He was the devoted husband of Ann Cauthorn Woodie, his wife of over 51 years.

Larry was a carpenter and worked for T. Eugene Will Contracting for many years.  He then worked for the United States Post Office as a mail carrier in Woodbine for 15 years.  He enjoyed bowling, woodworking, reading about the Civil War and Gettysburg, and watching old westerns and musicals.  More than anything, Larry enjoyed spending time with his family.

Surviving, in addition to his wife Ann, are his 4 children, Eugene Woodie and wife Suzanna of Westminster, Anthony Woodie and girlfriend Danette Comer of Rocky Ridge, Candice Woodie and husband Eric Schenk of Eldersburg, and James Woodie and wife Kathy of Westminster; sister, Regina Leister and fiancé Dan Smith of Eldersburg; brother, Phillip Woodie and wife Linda of Hampstead; grandchildren, Stanley Dobson, Sean Woodie and wife Anna of Eldersburg, Ryan Schenk, Allison Woodie and fiancé Josh Weishaar, Jonathan Woodie and fiancé Alyssa Whitmer, Christopher Motley, and Kaylee Woodie; great-grandson, Dallas; and nephew, Paul Leister and wife Laura of Taneytown.  Larry will also be sorely missed by his cat, Kate.

A funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. on Friday, December 10, 2021 at Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 91 Willis St., Westminster, MD.  The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until the time of the service.  There will be no burial. Livestreaming at https://www.facebook.com/MDFHWestminster/

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Larry’s name may be made to the Dialysis and Kidney Transplant Fund, Inc.
